On February 15th, 26 students and 3 teachers headed to Ecuador on a mission trip! They lived and worked in the community while encountering and serving the local people of the Napo province through evangelization and service to the less fortunate.

Spellman's team was based with local missionaries in Chonta Punta. Each morning they gathered for prayer and breakfast. After that, smaller groups went out for service: work projects, such as building or renovating a chapel or home, or helping the local people with their crops; visiting the sick, elderly and handicapped; and bringing material necessities to families. In the evenings there were opportunities to share their testimony and pray with the locals at various prayer meetings.

The work was impactful, yet challenging, and was in the greater service of reaching an ambitious and worthy goal. We could not have succeeded without the prayers and financial support of our family and friends! Funds were raised to cover the costs of transportation, time in Ecuador, and towards the supplies of work projects and ministry needs.

We're proud of our students and our thoughts and prayers go with the people of Ecuador!
