Black Catholic Mission | 

Nativity Prep held their Annual Promise Dinner at The Harvard Club of Boston. It is an evening dedicated to celebrating and empowering the young men and alumni of Nativity Prep.

As the school year comes to an end, we take time to celebrate our students and all of their accomplishments from the school year. This year we had all twenty of our eight grade students graduate.

Indian Mission | 

St. Francis of Assisi School in Lumberton, NM welcomed the new school year 2023-2024 with 2 new co-principals. Principal Elena Talamante is an alumna of St. Francis and had been serving as the 7th and 8th grade teacher for 2 years before her appointment.

St. Francis Parish is located in a valley surrounded by forests, in the center of the Whiteriver Apache Reservation in Arizona.

Black Catholic Mission | 

The African American Commission sponsored sending 10 delegates to the National Black Catholic Congress XIII on July 21-23, 2023.

Two churches in the interior region lost their regularly assigned priest this summer when 95-year-old Fr. Joseph Father finally retired and returned to the lower 48 states. The parishes are now served a few times per year by Fr. Thinh Van Tran, a missionary priest from Vietnam. Here, he is seen en route to St. Teresa’s in the village of Kaltag, which can only be accessed via plane or boat from his home village of Nulato.

Indian Mission | 

Currently, the diocese has just 10 priests to serve all of its 38 rural churches across western Alaska, with one part-time priest from Michigan who flies to the most remote villages.

Black Catholic Mission | 

On Sunday, October 1, 2023 St. Ambrose Parish celebrated the 150th anniversary of the founding of the Capuchin Province of St. Augustine. Friars from the province have ministered in the Archdiocese for 149 years and 60 yrs in Baltimore City.

Students at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic School, in Modesto, California are given regular and robust opportunities to engage as active participants with their faith.

Indian Mission | 

De La Salle Blackfeet School began our preparations for the 2023-24 school year the day following our commencement exercises at the conclusion of the 2022-23 school year.
