Autumn Activities at Cardinal Spellman High School

December 10, 2019

Cardinal Spellman High School

At Cardinal Spellman High School of Brockton, in this first quarter of the school year, our students have been involved in a variety of faith building service projects. On Veterans Day, we held a prayer service with the entire school that celebrated all Veterans. Our students in the Christ Crew mission group organized the event that also included a breakfast reception for all Veterans. Our students in the Christ Crew mission group worked together this Thanksgiving to assemble almost 100 Thanksgiving baskets for families in need at a local non-profit by the name of My Brothers Keeper. The baskets were assembled and brought up for a blessing at our Thanksgiving Mass. Our Seniors volunteered after school to teach our entire Freshman class how to bake bread before Thanksgiving. These loaves were then donated to a local church for those in need. Additionally, our students were involved in a service day where they traveled to locations off campus for a full day of volunteerism and prayer with local non profits.
