Students from Saint Patrick, Saint Stephen, and Immaculate Conception Schools traveled to Venango Catholic High School on Jan. 28 to join in a day-long celebration that kicked off Catholic Schools Week. The features for the day were Mass, lunch, an assembly featuring an illusionist, bingo, and relay races. Prior to the day, students in each school were given mini-lessons on Pope Francis' "Care for Our Common Home." All students then chose a ribbon on which to write how they intend to follow the Holy Father's call to care for the earth. These "climate ribbons" were then hung on trees prior to the Mass at Venango Catholic. The pictures below show some Saint Patrick School students admiring their climate ribbon tree; and students in offertory procession at Mass.
