Guardian Catholic School
Defensive End Arik Armstead recently visited Guardian Catholic School in the Brentwood neighborhood for a memorable event as part of the Literacy Locker Room initiative. The event focused on promoting literacy and fostering community engagement.
The students were thrilled to welcome Arik, who is a nominee for the prestigious Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year award. The highlight of the visit was a special reading session, where students shared their excitement and enthusiasm for Armstead’s well-deserved nomination.
As part of the event, 500 books were generously distributed to each student by Read USA, helping to encourage a love for reading and support a strong culture of literacy within the community.
The Literacy Locker Room event at Guardian Catholic School was a resounding success, with students leaving feeling inspired and proud. The event not only fostered a love for reading but also created lasting memories for the students, who had the opportunity to meet a role model who embodies the values of hard work, community service, and dedication.
