Reopening Bounce House

St. Peter the Apostle

The Reopening of the Parish weekend (June 26-27, 2021) provided an array of activities for the children, youth, adults, and senior citizens. From the Technology Van to the Bakeoff to the RV and Antique Car Show, all enjoyed a day of thanksgiving to come together and fellowship. During the Sunday Mass, a candle was lit in memory of each parishioner who passed away in the last eighteen months from the parish.

The Gospel Concert was held on July 25, 2021. Three choirs, two soloists and a mother/daughter duo set the tone for a wonderful one-hour virtual event. The participants gathered in the church while the audience watched on ‘YouTube”. From the sounds of “May Peace Be with You” to “I Give Myself Away to You” to “There is No Way I Can Live Without you” and “Come Let Us Reason Together.”

The Youth Retreat was held on Saturday, August 7, 2021. Father Mark Odoguje, SSJ, delivered a message on the theme "Stronger Together." The youth created a paper chain to emphasize how strong they when they work together. Our youth also wrote postcard messages for our Sick and Shut Ins members to show them that our thoughts and prayers are with them. The age of the youth participating was 5-18. Bible scripture for the theme was Ecclesiastes 4:9-10.
