Many Nations Circle – Planning Beyond Covid-19

August 31, 2021

Native American Ministry

The last year has been very difficult for the members of our Many Nations Circle to hold activities and events due to pandemic. The annual Native American Mass scheduled for November of 2020 had to be cancelled because of Covid-19. We are hoping to do more activities and events, including the celebration of the Native American Mass on November 6, 2021 and then again in 2022.

On March 25, 2021 members of the Circle led the Native Stations of the Cross at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church in St. Petersburg, FL. There were 30 people in attendance. The planning committee of the Circle also met on March 25, 2021 to discuss upcoming events, including a Meet and Greet Desert with Native Americans, the annual Native American Mass on November 6, 2021 at 4:30 p.m. at St. Anne Catholic Church in Ruskin, FL. and a Christmas Stockings event for nursing homes residents in December 2021.

The Circle members continue to volunteer at the Food Pantry Distribution Center at St. Anne Parish. A member of the circle who attends Blessed Trinity Parish has continued to collect toiletries to distribute them to the homeless in St. Petersburg.
