Gesu Jesuit Catholic School
On Friday, September 5, 2025, Gesu celebrated the Mass of the Holy Spirit, a long-standing Jesuit tradition. This Mass was led by the 8th grade, with the 5th grade participating as the choir. Students entered the church behind a procession of banners illustrating the characteristics we would like our students to possess at graduation. These characteristics are Learning, Loving, Growing, Seeking God and Seeking Justice. Gesu’s pastor, Fr. Snow makes the gospel come alive by including students in the stories that relate to the gospel. Fr. Snow made a point of welcoming all of the new students, staff and faculty and many parents attended this Mass too.
Gesu has a new music minister and Christopher taught all of the students “I am a Child of God” which will be the song sung at each Mass. Christopher has done a very good job this year including songs that all the students can and want to learn.
Gesu celebrates Mass each Friday morning. These Masses have tended to be a time when we can celebrate good events as well as have time to pray for those who need it.
