WSG Class of 2022 Graduates Move on To High Schools

September 01, 2022

Washington School for Girls

Back in June, the Washington School for Girls celebrated the Class of 2022 as they completed their middle school education and prepared for the next chapter of their educational journey. The students parted from WSG unified in prayer, both at the 8th grade prayer service and the formal promotion ceremony. The prayer service is a special time for our 8th grade students and their immediate families to join together outside of the traditional open graduation. Father Michael Thompson, SSJ of Our Lady of Perpetual Help parish, gave a special blessing and teachers and school leaders shared additional prayers for the students future.

The impact of a faith-based educational environment was evident in the Class of 2022's high school selections. 88% of the class applied to Catholic schools, 70% are continuing in a faith-based school for high school, and 60% are attending Catholic institutions including Archbishop Carroll High School, Bishop McNamara High School and Elizabeth Seton High School.
