St Francis of Assisi
The RCIA Program includes the parish communities of St. Francis of Assisi, St. Martin de Porres, All Saints, Gesu, and St. Michael/St. Rose. [St. Michael Parish frequently conducts its own program due to specific language needs; this is the case once again this year.] This collaborative program includes approximately 15 people who range in age from young adult to seniors. Additionally, it is a predominantly black/white group, and this is reflected in the team directors as well.
While the participants receive the necessary preparation and formation for reception of the sacraments, their experience of collaboration among Church leaders is impactful and something that other RCIA programs cannot display.
The program continues to move forward to its exciting conclusion as the candidates presented themselves in the Rite of Election at the cathedral on March 1st.
