Black Catholic Pastoral Plan
The Intercultural Office was overseeing the Black Catholic Pastoral Plan until a new director of Black Catholic and Ethnic Ministries was hired in mid-June 2019, around the time when the Black Catholic Pastoral Plan was completed for implementation.
Leadership and Faith Formation
Funding assisted in promoting, providing materials, food for fellowship, and supplies, and serving as the host church for the public announcement of the archdiocesan Black Catholic Pastoral Plan, We Say “Yes,” Lord.
African Catholic Ministry
In September and October 2019, the African Catholic Ministry under the Black Catholic Ministry Commission conducted a number of meetings to plan ongoing events and activities.
Diocese of Fairbanks Quarterly Update
Rural Deacon, Fr. Mark Hoelsken, travels to St. Mary’s, Mountain Village, and Pilot Station about once a month to provide the Mass and sacraments.
St. Kateri Mission Activities
Every Sunday, we gather after church for snacks in the Hall. At these impromptu gatherings, we plan fundraisers and enjoy each other’s food offerings.
