DLSBS- May 2025 Update

August 05, 2025

De La Salle Blackfeet School

As the academic year draws to a close, De La Salle Blackfeet School is filled with activity, celebration, and reflection. This spring has been one of growth, achievement, and faith, and we are proud to share some of the many highlights from our school community.

Our students have been shining in every corner of campus. A special Student Spotlight recognized outstanding leadership and academic achievement, inspiring peers to strive for excellence. On the court, our Girls’ Volleyball Team showed incredible teamwork and sportsmanship throughout their season.

We kicked off Lent with an Ash Wednesday service, helping our students reflect on faith and renewal. The 8th grade class traveled to Helena for a powerful visit to the Cathedral and Carroll College, and later, many students participated in sacraments, First Communion, Baptism, and Confirmation, marking major milestones in their spiritual lives.

Our 8th grade also led the school through a moving presentation of the Stations of the Cross and later embarked on a life-changing class trip to Chicago and Notre Dame. Meanwhile, our 6th grade students explored nature and science during an unforgettable trip to Yellowstone National Park.

The joy of literacy came alive during Dr. Seuss Night, as students read to local elementary classrooms. Our Little Flower Book Publishing program gave students the opportunity to write, edit, and publish their own books, an empowering experience in storytelling and voice.

We welcomed immersion groups from across the country and celebrated culture and connection during our Palm Sunday Round Dance, with parents and elders joining us. Our school community gathered for an Open House and supported several fundraisers, showing continued generosity and commitment to our mission.

Finally, we joyfully celebrated Graduation and welcomed our new president, Colleen Dunne, M.Div., as we look forward to a bright future at DLSBS.
