Nativity Preparatory School of Boston
The 7th Grade Class of Mveng recently embarked on an unforgettable learning adventure at Harvard Medical School. Stepping into one of the world’s most renowned centers of medical education, the students were immediately immersed in hands-on, interactive learning focused on vital signs and the human body’s complex systems.
One of the most memorable moments of the day came when the students were presented with a simulated medical case: a patient experiencing stomach pain. Divided into teams, the young learners took on the role of medical professionals, carefully evaluating symptoms, discussing possible diagnoses, and working together to determine a course of treatment. With impressive focus and enthusiasm, they applied critical thinking skills and knowledge gained during the session to solve the mystery behind the patient’s discomfort.
Throughout the experience, the students demonstrated not only curiosity and scientific interest but also remarkable teamwork and problem-solving abilities—qualities essential in any field, especially medicine.
This opportunity was made possible thanks to the generosity of Sinesia Karol, whose support has opened doors to unique and transformative learning experiences for Nativity students. Her commitment to expanding their horizons continues to inspire a new generation to imagine bold futures, perhaps even in medicine.
For the Class of Mveng, the visit to Harvard was more than a field trip, it was a spark of possibility, lighting the path toward what they might one day become.
