In 2015 the contest is open to any 3rd, 4th and 5th graders in Catholic schools and parish religious education programs that receive grants from either the Bureau of Catholic Indian Missions or the Catholic Negro American Mission Board.
The theme to be developed was adapted from the Joy of the Gospel by Pope Francis:
(school/parish name) ~ Jesus’ Message Brings Us Joy
Top two winners receive $100 each; their school or parish program receives $500 from the Black and Indian Mission Office for evangelization. Deadline for entrance is Saturday, March 21, 2015.
Attached here you will find:
- A letter for principals, pastors, DREs, etc. giving particulars
- Guidelines for participation
- Entry form to affix to the back of your three entries
Don’t wait! Open the attachments below now and get your teachers and/or catechists enthused. This is not a Lenten penance but an opportunity to highlight your mission of evangelization and show off your students’ creativity. Somebody’s got to win – why not you?
