St. Michael Indian High School

High school art students at St. Michael Indian School have embarked on a creative journey to inspire and beautify their campus with vibrant murals. This collaborative class project, launched to foster teamwork and self-expression, has brought a fresh wave of school spirit and visual storytelling to the hallways.

The initiative began shortly after Thanksgiving, with students sketching and painting their ideas under the guidance of their art teacher. Final touches were completed just in time for the holiday season. The murals are the result of a collective effort, with each student contributing their unique artistic voice to the final designs.

Among the striking pieces is a school spirit mural featuring the Cardinal, the school mascot, surrounded by bold colors and dynamic energy, symbolizing pride and unity. Another mural showcases two hands linked together, with delicate hummingbirds fluttering around. This design was inspired by Isaiah 41:13, which reads, "For I am the LORD your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you." The imagery reflects themes of faith, support, and hope.

These murals have already captured the attention of students, faculty, and visitors, transforming ordinary hallways into spaces of inspiration and celebration. The art project demonstrates the power of creativity and collaboration, leaving a lasting impression on the St. Michael Indian School community.
