Cardinal Spellman Celebrates 58th Commencement Ceremony!

(Brockton, MA) – On May 23, 2019, Cardinal Spellman High School held its 58th Commencement Ceremony at Cardinal Spellman High School on Potvin Field.

Diplomas were conferred to the 121 graduates by President Daniel Hodes, Principal Paul Kelly, and Board Chairman Kevin Kelley '68.

Principal Paul Kelly offered a warm welcome to the Class of 2019, reflecting on their four years recognizing their collective value while celebrating each of them as individuals.

President Dan Hodes speech challenged students to "Be Excellent" to one another. "So please graduates love one another…or if you prefer…be excellent to each other, and Love God by truly living…"

Valedictorian Julie Vu spoke from the heart urging her classmates to remember the experience of being a Spellman student as they go their separate ways.

99% percent of the 121 graduates will be attending college. One student will be attending Providence College on an Army ROTC Scholarship. 76% of the graduating class applied early action to college. On average, each student applied to 7.5 colleges. This class sent out an impressive 913 college applications.
