Catholic Indian Mission - Ft. Yates, North Dakota

The grant funds were used for two major purposes. First, to purchase the educational items needed, such as workbooks, reading materials, prayer cards, and other items that the Pastor, Associate Pastor, and Deacon used when they were making home visits and providing adult learning sessions with the parishioners. Second, the four Religious Sisters from the Congregation of Teresian Carmelites in Kerala, India and the other teachers at the St. Bernard Mission School used these funds to bring the Catholic faith alive to our parishioners. The Sisters purchased various items that they felt were needed for the students which in turn, inspired the students to spread the Word of God to their parents and extended family members.
