Thanks to funding from the Black and Indian National Collection the San Diego Indian Mission was able to purchase a fine set of books to prepare our children for the Sacraments of Reconciliation and then for First Communion. The photo below shows the children as excited as they could be, outside the Mission Church as they wait to enter and make their First Communion.
Our educational efforts were supported by a grant from BIMO that enabled us to purchase books and materials for the children’s classes on Reconciliation and for First Communion. In addition these very important funds enabled us to pay for Bibles and Catechisms for the teenagers, for adult Confirmation candidates and for parents and prospective godparents preparing for Baptism of their children.
