Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish
Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church was blessed to host Deacon Harold Burke-Sivers for their parish Lenten Mission from Friday, February 28 through Sunday, March 3, 2026. Deacon Burke-Sivers is an Internationally known Catholic inspirational speaker who hosts the well-received program Beacon of Truth on EWTN. Deacon Burke-Sivers not only gave three compelling presentations to those who attended the Misson on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings from 6-730pm, but he also generously spoke on the topic of the Psalms to the elders of the parish on Friday morning who could not come out later in the evening.
Deacon also presented to the Parish Religious Education Preparation (PREP) students, from first to twelfth grade, in lieu of class on Sunday morning from 9:45-10:45am. He challenged the students to understand what Truth is and where one can find it. He admonished the young listeners that today’s media and culture do not always present the Truth.
Deacon had the children so engaged and asking him questions, that he spoke until Mass time.at 11:00a. During Mass he gave an insightful homily and served at altar.
