Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Parish

Holy Name of Jesus Religious Formation Program provides catholic faith development that will lead and guide the lives of the participants to ensure that they have a loving relationship with their heavenly Father. Our programs are over a two-year period. We have Sacramental preparation for young people between 5-16 years of age from September through May; We have a group Confirmation preparation for teens between 14-18 and we rotate the ceremony between HNOJ, St Brigid, Transfiguration and St Bernadette. We have an RCIA program led by the pastors, deacons and lay people at our sister parishes St Brigid, Transfiguration and St Bernadette. Holy Name of Jesus participants make their sacraments at the Easter Vigil at HNOJ. We also have bible studies, prayer groups and social outreach services in which our youth and adults participate in. Our program includes the training of altar servers.

This year at our Penance service we were proud to have two of our Sacramental Preparation youth served as lectors, pictures of the congregation during a baptism /penance service. RCIA participant, Classroom Board, African American Catholic Center for Evangelization luncheon and a Knights of Peter Claver Junior Daughter outing.
