Elementary students often visit the larger high school classrooms for lab work with science teacher Jamie B. Adams, RN. Recently, second and third graders worked with microscopes in the lab viewing slides while learning the basics of microscope use. Over 1200 students in grades 6 to 12 participated in the science fair earlier this spring with many qualifying for state competition which was held virtually in Arizona. Science programs expanded with the MESA club returning this semester and the teams competed. One team placed second at the virtual competition and the five team members will be awarded medals. MESA is comprised of high school students with intereste in science, technology, engineering and math career fields.
