On Thursday, July 13th, 2023, 150 people came together at St. Joachim Catholic Church on the Lummi Nation Reservation (Archdiocese of Seattle) to celebrate the St. Kateri Tekakwitha Feast Day Mass with Archbishop Paul D. Etienne
The second miracle needed for St. Kateri to be Canonized occurred when a Lummi boy (Jake Finkbonner) was healed of a flesh-eating disease after many had prayed for Kateri's intersession and her relic was placed on the boy at Childrens Hospital in Seattle.
Today St. Kateri is loved throughout the Pacific Northwest and beyond. The day ended with a wonder feast provided by the Lummi Nation.
