April 4-8 is the Week of the Young Child, a nationwide, annual celebration that celebrates early learning, young children, their teachers and families. Today, we know more than ever about the importance of children’s earliest years in shaping their learning and development. At St. Mary, we started the week with Wacky Socks Day and moving into the “Umbrella Parade, the Parade of Cartoon Characters, Sip and Paint with Dad, Ice Cream Day and ended the week with a field trip to the Petting Zoo. It was a busy and exciting week made possible and successful with the creative organization of the teachers, cooperation and involvement of the parents and guardians.
