St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church
The summer of 2019 at St. Peter the Apostle Parish in Pascagoula focused on the children and youth. During the months of June through August, the parish hosted Vacation Bible School, a Youth Gospel Extravaganza and the Back to School Rally.
Fifty-one children participated in Vacation Bible School and 13 adults were facilitators / chaperones. Five high school students were helpers in the sessions.
The Parish Praise Team hosted the Youth Gospel Extravaganza. Ten churches participated in the Youth Gospel Extravaganza hosted by the Parish Praise Team. A total of 135 parishioners, family, and friends attended the youth led activity.
The Back to School Rally engaged youth in a conversation on bullying followed by Arts & Crafts. Education and Religious topics were explored through games and conversation. The theme: was "Don’t forget to take Jesus Back to School with you"! Forty youth and fifteen facilitators were on hand.
