St. Kateri Tekakwitha is located in Brimley, Michigan on the Bay Mills Indian Reservation. Grant funds are used to update our religious education materials, youth bibles, and items to assist in evangelizing ministries.
St. Kateri Tekakwitha organizes three mass offerings each week, religious counseling and religious education for both adults and youth. Weekly catechism Instruction is held throughout the school year that includes structured curriculum tailored to various age groups, art and craft items, interactive activities, Christmas caroling, visiting our Elders, youth outings, and much more.
Our parish has approximately 200 parishioners annually, a majority whom are members from local Native Tribes, but we serve our whole community.
Grant support is imperative to the ongoing community support offered through St. Kateri Tekakwitha. Our parish is the only Parish located on the Bay Mills Reservation in rural Northern Michigan and serves a unique and large geographic area. It is truly God's Country.
