Sacred Heart School

Sacred Heart School held their annual food collection for Sacred Heart Southern Missions’ (SHSM) holiday distribution. Including the Boy Scouts collection, students were able to provide nearly 2,000 pounds of dry goods. Eighth grade students also had a day of service, helping to pack SHSM’s Thanksgiving boxes for those in need. The joy and enthusiasm the children showed while giving back to the community was truly inspiring. Though the young people put quite a dent in the work, it took an army of volunteers many weeks to pack the 1,825 food baskets that were distributed. As one student put it, “There were boxes....everywhere!”
