Although bringing students back to school amid the COVID-19 pandemic has been a cause of anxiety concerning the health of students, staff and families, Guardian Catholic School opened its school year on August 19, 2020.

The Office of Black Catholic Ministry of the Archdiocese of Denver is humbled and honored to support the Cure’ d’Ars Catholic Parish Youth Ministry with their programs under the guidance of their Youth Ministry Director, Mr. Seneca Holmes.

St. Francis of Asissi Breaux Bridge - RCIA welcomed adults into the Catholic Church
Our Mother of Mercy , Rayne held their Confirmation with Bishop J. Douglas Deshotel
St. Joseph, Broussard held a back to school supply drive for students in the community.
Immaculate Heart of Mary held a shoe drive entitled, Soles 4 Souls
Holy Ghost Catholic Church, Opelousas, along with several other Catholic Churches are serving as COVID-19 Testing Sites

BIM Grants help our student succeed.

St. Peter Claver Catholic Church in Lexington KY held an ecumenical prayer service on June 4, 2020. The service aimed to promote healing, understanding, and community action in the wake of the trauma and unrest following the deaths of Black Americans, including George Floyd and Breonna Taylor, killed in police encounters.

Having a long history of being a pillar in the community, the school offers a robust, faith-based education and strives to instill excellence in the young people that attend there. Children of all backgrounds are welcomed to the school, which provides a rigorous and supportive learning environment.
