Black Catholic Mission

The Annual Diocesan Mass in Remembrance of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was held and sponsored by the African American Commission of the Diocese of Buffalo.

St. Alphonsus Catholic School is a 60-year-old tradition based on the heart and calling of the Redemptorists to bring God's love to all people, in particular the poor and abandoned.

At Saint James Catholic Church we celebrate the Family Festival where the community gathered and celebrated for three days as a faith family. It was nice to see the different ministries working together as a united community.

At Saint James Catholic School we celebrate Black History Month. Our students learned about famous African Americans and their accomplishments.

For the month of February, students at St. Mary's Cathedral school learned and celebrated Black History Month through various activities.

Justin Dews '07 visited St. Thomas Aquinas High School on February 21 to speak with juniors and seniors about his life experiences, including his time at Harvard.
