Spring has arrived here on the Red Cloud Indian School campuses as we welcome the warmer weather and longer days.

What a wonderful few months here at St. Clare of Montefalco Catholic.

On March 25, the students, faculty and staff of Our Lady of Guadalupe school gathered in our grotto and joined Pope Francis and Catholics throughout the world by praying for peace in the Ukraine. Different classes took turns leading different portions of the prayer.

We are most appreciative of the grant from the Black and Indian Mission Office.

April 4-8 is the Week of the Young Child, a nationwide, annual celebration that celebrates early learning, young children, their teachers and families.

Mayor Robert Sullivan paid a special visit to Cardinal Spellman for Black History Month.

Our students in the 4-year-old program enjoyed the story of our local Storyteller, Latasha Perry.

The 2nd graders in Mrs. McBride's class spent the day focusing on President's Day and why we celebrate it! They compared and contrasted the lives of George Washington and Abraham Lincoln.

There is no better way to get students excited about reading than hosting a Scholastic Book Fair. All students in grades kindergarten through eight grade get to browse the book fair ahead of time to get an idea of what they may be interested in purchasing.
