Ambassador Youth Leadership Program
Opportunity, Experience and Gratitude. Those are the three words that sum up the Youth Leadership Ambassador Program. We are so grateful for all of the phenomenal individuals who shared their time, talents and support with us this year. Their leadership and their example are a true gift to our youth.
We started the year off right with our Annual Praise Concert. In all things Praise Him, Praise Him, Praise Him! A few days later we were blessed to travel to California for the NCYC Conference, where our youth experienced Jesus on a whole nother level. No sooner did we return, we took part in the St. Thomas Aquinas Youth Lock-In Stay Awake A-Thon which served just over 100 youth from around the Diocese of Brooklyn and Queens. In January and in February the Ambassadors had the honor to serve in the Martin Luther King, Jr. celebration and the Annual Black History Mass with Bishop Brennan, leaving our youth inspired and proud.
Our monthly enrichment days were led by dynamic presenters. This year we were blessed to have:
Mr. Jeffrey Ulysse, Author, International Speaker & Finance Literacy Coach. Dr. Cheryl Kirk-Duggan, Professor, Clergy, Author and Editor.
Dr. Lori Brown-Mirabal, Award Winning International Opera Singer, Broadway performer, Actress and Author.
Mr. Grant Tregre, Associate Director of Safety and Mission Assurance at NASA Stennis Space Center.
From the Arts to Robotics, we have something for everyone and it has been an absolute privilege to learn from these outstanding educators.
The Ambassador Program is not just a program, it is a life changing encounter. May God continue to bless all of our Ambassadors and may they prosper in all things. May they never forget the opportunities they had, the experiences they shared and to always live a life full of gratitude.
