The Black and Indian Mission Office awards grants to Diocese, Schools and Religious Education Programs to support the evangelization of African American and Native American/Alaska Native communities. Grant funds are used to ‘shine the light of Christ’ in the communities by enlivening parish life and catechesis, helping educators reach students, empowering evangelizers and encouraging vocations.

Bureau of Catholic Indian Mission School and Religious Education Program Application (BCIM) is open to all Schools and Religious Education Programs that support Native American/Alaska Native Catholic communities
Catholic Negro American Mission Board School and Religious Education Program Application (CNAMB) is open to all Schools and Religious Education Programs that support Catholic African American communities
Please note that Schools and Religious Education Programs that apply for the BCIM and CNAMB grants cannot apply again through the Diocese.

College Scholarship Funds
Thanks to a very generous benefactor, the Bureau of Catholic Indian Missions has established sizable scholarship endowment funds at four universities around the country to help Native American students pursue an education.
