St. James Catholic Church

At St. James Catholic Church, our motto is: "Doers of the word living for the Lord." There is no better month to live out this motto than in the month of November. This past month parishioners, as well as the school community, donated canned goods to those in need in our community for the Thanksgiving season. Fellowship Sunday is always a staple in our church community during the month of November since it is Black Catholic History Month. We come together as a community to honor Catholic African American prominent figures in history such as Sister Thea Bowman. We closed out our Thanksgiving season by having a health fair encouraging all those in our church community and surrounding areas to get vaccinated. Medical professionals from our church community came with their staff to provide flu and COVID-19 vaccinations. Things are very busy here at St. James but we make it a point to always live out our mission to be disciples of Christ.
