Holy Name of Jesus parish extends their appreciation to the Black and Indian Commission for supporting our capital campaign projects. Specifically, grant monies this past year were used to fund a major foundation leak repair and septic tank replacement. Overtime the drain tile had clogged causing water to back up around the footings of the church’s foundation. This water then leaked into the basement. At the same time of digging out foundation, contractor also identified a failing septic tank – which had to be completely replaced. It would not have been possible to realize these 20K major capital projects without the generosity of the Diocese of Marquette and the Black and Indian Commission.
