Summer Camps Are Back!

October 19, 2022

African Ancestry Ministry and Evangelization Network (AAMEN) & Native American Community (NAC)

Three parishes evangelizing in African American and Native American communities were able to host summer camps for the children in their area. St. Ann, Fayetteville, Immaculate Conception Mission Church, Roanoke Rapids and Holy Cross, Durham offered a variety of activities and themes. The students also had fun with artwork including painting and decorating crosses, coloring, and making wind chimes with religious facts displayed. They played games such as Bible Bingo and awarded prizes. Students also received incentives for answering daily review questions. They learned and sang songs throughout the preparation for the end of camps presentation. Holy Cross campers helped in the parish garden. St. Ann also included tutoring and computer classes. All the children enjoyed participating in the in-person camps.
