Black Catholic Mission

The Black Catholic Ministry held its quarterly meeting on at Blessed Sacrament parish to review and discuss what is going on in the local diocese, share information about upcoming events, and plan for activities.

In January 2018, 15 men assembled for the inception of the Men’s Prayer Ministry at the Basilica of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception, to pray, worship, and glorify our Lord and Savior.

For several months in 2018 the St. Charles Lwanga Center, Archdiocesan Office of Black Catholics has been represented in meetings with a nascent organizational group.

The beginning of the school year is the most exciting time of the academic year. Like most schools, we admisntrators and teachers plan wonderful lessons and activities for the whole school year.

Sr Agatha Obinka, a member of The Oblates of the Sacred Heart of Jesus teaches religion to students in K-4 at St. Joseph the Provider.

African American Scholarships for students attending Catholic School are very important to the students and their parents.
