Funds were used for subsidies to Saint Helen Catholic Church, Roosevelt, Utah. These funds provide services to the Ute Indian Reservation in Ft. Duchesne and the Native Americans from their parish and surrounding mission. The funds are used for the Maintenance and up-keep of the Tekakwitha Mission, and the Community Center located on the Ute Indian Reservation in Ft. Duchesne, Utah. Funds are used for partial payroll for the Native American Commission Liaison.
The Anniversary Mass for St. Kateri Tekakwitha was held on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, with a procession from the Mission to the Community Center. The Most Reverend Bishop Oscar A. Solis was the celebrant and the priest, Fr. Edward Leondhas, of St. Helen Church was the co-celebrant. A reception was held after the mass.
