St. Peter the Apostle
During Lent, sixty members of the parish completed the “Jesus and the Eucharist” series in March 2024. There were two sessions (morning and evening). All who attended stated that they really enjoyed the lessons on Jesus and the Eucharist series. The sessions allowed the parishioners to learn and share their own stories. The Passion play was an excellent opportunity for the parishioners to come together and showcase their skills as they re-enact the Passion and Death of Jesus Christ on Good Friday. The cast included children, youth, young adults and senior members of the parish. All were proud to participate and learn more about the Passion and Death of Jesus Christ under the Direction of Mrs. Joycelynn Lett and Rev. Emmanuel Awe, SSJ. The parish was blessed that local media was on site. Nine Religious Education middle and high school students attended the Diocese of Biloxi Youth Convention. Students enjoyed a session in art appreciation as they painted their canvas to close out the religious education year.
