Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish
Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish in L’Anse, MI extends their appreciation to the Black and Indian Commission for supporting the parish through a rural parish subsidy. Grant money has been used to pay for insulation installed over the sacristy and to cover the engineering evaluation costs for the church roofing project. The insulation over the sacristy has made an impact in lowering the heating costs in the church. The church roofing project is ongoing. Construction is slated to start in the spring/summer of 2020 subject to available capital funding. The generosity of the Black and Indian Commission grant has helped to cover the preliminary costs of the project.
