After two long years of waiting Gesu has once again been able to embark on its annual 8th grade field trip to Washington D.C. On Monday February 14th, fatigued and yet excited, 8th grade students and staff met before sunrise at Wayne County airport.

Students from Holy Savior Catholic Academy got the chance to etch their names in the cement, as the building project construction work progressed. Holy Savior is building an addition to its church and school that includes a gymnasium and classrooms.

Sister Marianne Poole recently celebrated 60 years as a Sister of the Blessed Sacrament. Her journey as an educator has taken her through inner-city schools in New Orleans, Philadelphia, Cleveland, Washington, DC, Harlem, and Santa Fe.

During the month of February at St. James Parish, we celebrated our community. The parish held their annual festival after 2 years due to covid restrictions.

During Catholic Schools week, our St. Mary’s Cathedral School student body was Blessed to have many community leaders, business persons, and religious come to our school.

At Saint James Catholic School, we celebrated Catholic Schools Week, from Monday, January 31st to Friday, February 4th. As a school community of faith, we gathered and practiced the gifts of faith, excellence, and service.
