Knowing Me, Knowing You

November 22, 2019

All Saints Catholic Church

As part of the Pastoral Council and Parish Life on-going leadership development effort this year and in conjunction with efforts to deepen parishioner faith formation, All Saints Catholic Church expended the remaining portion of it 2019 Black & Indian grant funds designated for faith formation for community building event, Knowing Me, Knowing You. Approximately 100 parishioners came together at noon on 10.20.19 to share a potluck and conversations about why the parish is important to them. The event began at the 8:00 am and 10:30 am liturgies when our new Ghanaian pastor, Father James Arthur, invited everyone to fill out a small card answering three questions about their relationship to the parish. Parishioners were then invited to take the card with them into the hall and share their responses at a table with someone they did not know. The event flowed seamlessly from the table of the Eucharist to the tables of various African and American food items in our beautifully decorated hall. This first-time event will be remembered as a success as evidenced by the smiles, laughter, and gratitude of those who attended. We are very grateful that funds from the Black & Indian made this event possible for a parish that has very limited resources.
