he Diocese of St. Petersburg observed Black Catholic History month last fall with two special events.
Students in Sr. Rana's middle school religion class at Red Cloud Indian School got a classroom visit from Fr. Brad Held, SJ, during National Catholic Schools Week in January.

Sacred Heart began the school year with the theme “I am a Bucket Filler”. The children are encouraged to fill their buckets with acts of kindness, good behavior, positive words, and community service.
While not a requirement to choose one as a Confirmation name, most students do in fact choose them, in the fascination and pride in knowing more than they knew about these legacies.
