Catholic School's Week (Jan. 27-Feb. 2) was a tremendous success at Saint Augustine Catholic School in Washington, D.C., the second oldest parish school in the nation’s capital, founded in 1858.
St. Peter Claver Church hosted its third annual Heritage Festival on the parish patron's feast day, Sunday, September 9th, 2018, immediately following Mass with Bishop John.
The weather cooperated with sunshine and 60-degree temperatures on Nov. 20 as a team of volunteers repaired Wilma Blacksmith’s mobile home and two others.
Along with the accompanying scripture teacher, Maureen Foley-Bensen, Fr. Mike and the participants study scripture, social justice issues, Native and Catholic spirituality, and share their faith in liturgical prayer.
The two resources that I am most excited about this quarter include the powerful cd by Abby Johnson, the former director of the largest Planned Parenthood clinic in Texas.
The Black & Indian Grant has helped St. Anthony of New Town to provide many different opportunities for our students.
We have prepared children for Baptism, First Holy Communion, Sacrament of Reconciliation, and Confirmation. Fr. Roger continues to do Marriage preparation as well.
