Diocese of Gallup schools "before and after covid hit"

September 24, 2020

Sacred Heart, St. Teresa and St Joseph Schools

After a sudden shutdown in March due to the Covid-19 pandemic, schools scrambled to implement distance learning for teachers and students. Diocese of Gallup's Catholic schools were no different, and principals and teachers are adapting to new teaching methods as the 2020-2021 school year begins...

"Almost no two schools in this diocese are alike. Spread across various tribal lands, counties, and two states, each principal and his or her staff have confronted unique challenges in order to serve students, virtually or in-person". Suzanne Hammons; Voice of the Southwest 09/01/20.
Due to the generosity of grants to these schools from the BIMO or the Bureau, these schools are still able to serve their students, who in turn, are inspired to help and pray for others. Here are some of the favorite before/after covid photos of some of the Diocese of Gallup's schools' grateful and dedicated teachers & students.
