St. Augustine Religious Education Program
Before we close for Summer Break here at St. Augustine Parish Religious Education Program in Isleta Pueblo, NM, our month of April and May was full of happiness and faith. Our students, elementary and high school, received their sacraments.
On May 2, 2026 18 students received Jesus for the first time in Holy Communion. Our parish was full of parents, family, and friends. The children, per usual, were dressed in their finest clothes for their special day.
High school students were confirmed on May 6, 2026. Our class of eight students prepared all year with good faith to receive this sacrament.
Our Religious Education Program ended the year with Mass for May Crowning. We had a procession through our plaza and once entering the church, had our students present Our Lady with flowers. Two students from our First Communion class had the honor of crowning Mary.
It is our hope that these students who received their sacraments this year will continue to participate in our parish life by attending Mass regularly.
We at the Religious Education Program of St. Augustine thank the Bureau of Indian Catholic Missions for your continued support through your Grant. We wish all your staff a safe and joyous summer.
