Church of Sacred Heart, White Shield
I was able to purchase a new television, and a Blu-ray/DVD player, as per my application request last April. Since this purchase was made just under a month ago, the weather has not cooperated for me to go and set up this equipment as yet. Therefore, I am simply sending you pictures of the equipment as they arrived in boxes. Included also is a photo of the receipt.
I have enough funds to purchase some children's Bibles and catechisms, as well as some DVDs, etc.
It is my hope this year, during Lent, to begin regularized Wednesday afternoon after-school religion classes. This will be done with the help of two volunteer Catholic parishioners who happen to teach publically at the local White Shield Elementary School. These volunteers will, of course, need the requisite Safe Environment background checks. They have been very busy with their own private and professional lives and the fact that the entire public school system was finally moved into a new facility, causing much stress upon the faculty and children. After all the dust has settled and the weather warms up, I pray that this parish project will progress nicely.
