Through extensive fundraisers and planning, our new Church is completed, except for the landscaping. Now comes the work of rebuilding “The Church” and the people.

School is of to a great start at St. George Catholic School. This year we have expanded our Religion program to include Catechesis of the Good Shephard.

A group of Diocese employees traveled to Alexandria, La for the 83rd Annual Tekakwitha Conference. The Tekakwitha Conference is the voice, presence, and identity of Indigenous Catholics of North America under the protection of Saint Kateri Tekakwitha.

At St. Peter Claver in Lexington KY, parishioners chat after Mass in the current worship space. The parish is looking forward to completing the new church building in early 2023.

With the help and support of Black and Indian Missions, small communities such as Grambling State University Campus Ministry are able to provide resources to local Catholic students.

Southern Illinois University student Jamal Kinchen welcomes new members to the Knights of Columbus College Council #7682.

The Newman Catholic Student Center provides the Church a physical presence at the campus.

St. Lawrence School just recently completed their Student Council Elections for the 2022-2023 school year. Students originally submitted their names as candidates for the various executive offices.

Our guidance counselor is able to pull students for small group sessions in order to address students' social-emotional growth and needs. He is also able to push into classrooms on a regular basis.
