Black Catholic Mission | 

Seven students from St. John Catholic School participated in a regional and then state level Lego Robotics competition. The team placed first in both events for their innovation project.

Black Catholic Mission | 

The students at St. Martin de Porres Catholic School had many engaging activities for the month of February. Keeping to the theme, “Black Health and Wellness”, presenters included a dentist, a nutritionist, storytellers, and many physical outside activities.

Indian Mission | 

Faith Formation for both St. Anthony’s and St. Mary’s continues to be coordinated with the local school’s 21st Century after school program. This allows students to have transportation home after faith formation or sacrament prep sessions. 

Black Catholic Mission | 

The parish hosted an Advent Revival on December 13-15, 2021, with Reverend Mr. Michael Jenkins as keynote speaker.

Black Catholic Mission | 

Sister Marianne Poole recently celebrated 60 years as a Sister of the Blessed Sacrament. Her journey as an educator has taken her through inner-city schools in New Orleans, Philadelphia, Cleveland, Washington, DC, Harlem, and Santa Fe.

Indian Mission | 

Sacred Heart Catholic School celebrated National Catholic Schools Week January 31- February 4, 2022. The theme this year was “Catholic Schools: Faith. Excellence. Service.”

Black Catholic Mission | 

Students from Holy Savior Catholic Academy got the chance to etch their names in the cement, as the building project construction work progressed. Holy Savior is building an addition to its church and school that includes a gymnasium and classrooms.

After two long years of waiting Gesu has once again been able to embark on its annual 8th grade field trip to Washington D.C. On Monday February 14th, fatigued and yet excited, 8th grade students and staff met before sunrise at Wayne County airport.
