The Office of Black Catholic Ministry of the Archdiocese of Denver is humbled and honored to support the Cure’ d’Ars Catholic Parish Youth Ministry with their programs under the guidance of their Youth Ministry Director, Mr. Seneca Holmes.

Although bringing students back to school amid the COVID-19 pandemic has been a cause of anxiety concerning the health of students, staff and families, Guardian Catholic School opened its school year on August 19, 2020.

Before churches on the Rosebud reservation opened in August, St. Francis Mission was able to have family groups come to celebrate baptisms and confirmations.

Public masses resumed in June on the Standing Rock Reservation, but the ministry team is still reeling from the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic, with people leery of participating in public gatherings due to rising infection rates in this largely Native American population.

I hope and pray that you and your families are doing well despite these challenging and uncertain times. Throughout the course of the summer, Don Bosco Cristo Rey has spent a great deal of time preparing for the 2020/21 school year...
