Blessed by the support of the Black and Indian Mission Office, the program, Tolton’s Legacy: A Road May to Unity – 2020 Vision was sponsored by the Office of Black Catholic Ministry at the Archdiocese of Denver in recognition of National Black Catholic History Month on Saturday, November 14, 2020.

At the beginning of the 2020-2021 school year, West Catholic High School teachers and administrators introduced families to the Households System. Replacing homerooms, the program breaks students from all grade levels and backgrounds into small, close-knit groups (or “households”) that prioritize relational development and a persistent experience of Christian community.

St Kateri Mission Church remains grateful to the Black and Indian Missions who keep us within the ministry of Fr Francis and Fr Fabian. Those who can travel to Mass from time to time and visit St Mary’s in Arcata.

Although this school year started off very differently and with challenges due to the pandemic, our students, teachers and staff have remained focused on education. St. Peter Claver is conducting school both virtually and in-person while implementing new safety protocols. Our students and staff have adapted with resilience and a positive attitude.

The COVID-19 pandemic has placed restrictions on the level of activity that is possible in parishes at this time. The collaborative RCIA Program continues. It was completely revamped this year with the pandemic in mind.
