Black Catholic Ministry and St. Katharine Drexel Parish
The Black Catholic Community of the Archdiocese of Boston spent the spring gearing up for the upcoming National Black Catholic Congress to be held in the DC area, National Harbor in July. Thanks to the support of the BIMF, we were able to host a series of workshops, days of reflection and youth events to reflect on the last 5 years of the black catholic experience and to begin to plan for the future. In addition, we celebrated one of our parishioners, Robert Gittens, on his retirement and the 17th anniversary of St. Katharine Drexel Church on Pentecost Sunday.
